Can you draw a monster? Of course you can!! Now, can you describe your monster with enough details so that someone else can draw your monster and have it look the same as yours? That is what our first and second grade students are trying to do!
We read the books:
Hairy, Scary Ordinary What is an Adjective? by Brian P. Cleary
Many Luscious Lollipops A Book About Adjectives by Ruth Heller
Go Away, Big Green Monster! by Ed Emberley
Then we drew monsters and used adjectives to describe our monsters in step by step detail. Below are our students' directions to draw their monsters. Check back to see the finished projects! We will post them here after we share our finished drawings with the students from other schools via Skype! We can't wait to see everything!
